Nomar Perez
Nomar Perez is the creator of many acclaimed children’s books, including the Pure Belpré Honor award-winning Coqui in the City. He is also the illustrator of Let’s Be Friends, an International Latino Book Award Gold Medal winner and Tejas Star Reading List pick. Outside of children’s book illustration, Nomar is Lead Designer at American Greetings, where he designs bestselling greeting cards. Born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, Nomar’s work is inspired by fond memories of his childhood, and Puerto Rico’s amazing array of colors, sounds, and flavors. He currently resides in Ohio.
