Bio

Before Gene Barretta began his career as an illustrator, he graduated from New York University with a BFA in Film Studies and has worked for many years in film and television production on both coasts. As an animator, Gene has completed several films for Sesame Street. Gene has illustrated several books, both trade and mass-market. He currently resides outside of Philadelphia, PA with his wife Leslie and son Benjamin.  more
