Sophie Casson spent part of her childhood in Africa and has a large family in France, so traveling has always been important to her. Seeing other ways of living and thinking greatly inspire her to create. She loves new challenges, which her dynamic approach to illustration reflects.

Upon graduating from a design university, Sophie started with editorial illustration and now also illustrates for the children's market. Sophie has been illustrating for over twelve years, and now has many published books on the market. She lives in Montreal with her twin boys. In her spare time, she enjoys indoor rock climbing.
