Miguel Tanco

Miguel was born in Spain in 1972. He began his life as an illustrator six years ago when he left sunny Seville to go to the Big Apple. There, he led a superhero double-life, working daytime in an office and studying illustration at the School of Visual Arts at night.

At SVA he met other superheroes, both young and old. The old ones taught him that in the illustration world you have to jump, even if you don’t know how to fly.

He returned to Europe, seeking a sentimental asylum in Italy, while singing "New York State of Mind " and eating mortadella. He met the talented Octavia Monaco and took a special two-year course with her. He also took some courses at the Stepan Zavrel School with Linda Wolfsgruber.

He is currently continuing his superhero life in Milan.
