John Huxtable

John Huxtable has been a freelance illustrator for 19 years. He is a graduate of Otis Parsons School of Design. John began his career doing an internship with a technical illustrator while still in college. John’s photo-realistic style, along with his technical background, and ability to work from blueprints allows him to bring conceptual products, as well as existing products to life.

John began as a traditional airbrush artist, but now works completely digitally, which allows him the advantages of having an electronic file. John brings his experience of traditional art to the computer where he creates art that has the “clean” look of digital art, but retains the organic “feel” of traditional art. John enjoys working digitally because he is able to offer his clients a faster turn-around than with traditional photo-realistic art.

Over the years as a photo-realistic artist, John has honed his craft to include a wide range of subject matter, including product, wildlife, medical, environmental, technical, and children’s book illustrations.

John is married with four children.
